BEL Engineering Appoints New Quality Manager

BEL Engineering is pleased to welcome Peter Anderson as Quality Manager.

Peter is a time-served electronic technician with over forty years’ experience working in the manufacturing, assembly and testing industries.

In the last 26 years, Peter has worked in quality roles within the oil and gas and renewables sectors, maintaining compliance and improving standards. In his experience he has also managed the transition to ISO 9001:2015 and overseen quality departments across multiple sites.

Joining the BEL Engineering team as Quality Manager, Peter is responsible for leading the quality assurance team, which is made up of Quality Assurance Technicians, Quality Engineers and Quality Coordinators. His top priorities are establishing where the business is in relation to AS9100 and setting new quality compliance rules for the business.

Peter said: “My goal is to ensure we stay at the top of our game when it comes to quality compliance. An auditor should be able to walk into the business and there be no panic, and I want our department to always be ready.

“Because of the industries we work in, we have to go above and beyond to ensure we and our customers are quality compliant. That is why we ensure all product is thoroughly checked before dispatch.”

Aside from working in quality, Peter is involved with mentoring young adults and assisting STEM projects. Outside of work, Peter enjoys spending time with his family, going to the gym, and supporting Newcastle United.
